Timecode Commander is a GUI and command-line tool for burning in timecode over the top of video in Windows Media (.wmv) format. Incredibly useful for round-tripping proxies to editors, transcription or captioning houses.

User-selectable text and background colours. Background may be transparent or veiled (semi-opaque).

Choice of command-line access makes it eminently suitable for integration into automated workflows.
Timecode Commander works by having the user define a starting timecode in standard SMPTE hh:mm:ss.ff format (for example, "09:59:30.00"). This timecode is taken to be the timecode of the first frame of video.

Each frame then has the timecode superimposed ("burnt in") over the bottom of the video, before being output to a new file.
